The Anglo Irish Foundation for the Children of Montenegro is an organization, founded, funded and operated by British and Irish investors in Montenegro. Every single cent paid in to AIFCM goes towards the needs of the children of Montenegro.
AIFCM scope to change and NEW NAME to be introduced
After a recent meeting of the current steering committee of AIFCM, the decision was made to change some of the principles of the foundation to attract a broader donation base and introduce a formal committee to run the organization.
From May 1st 2008, although the foundation registration details will remain the same as a fully registered NGO, the name and logo will change to Friends of Bijela. The foundation will focus on not only investors from the UK and Ireland but will be extended to include other foreign investors in Montenegro as well as local organizations.
The foundation executive committee will consist of 4/5 local business leaders / government representatives as well as 4/5 foreign business heads / owners. The executive committee will cooperate with the management of the orphanage to decide where to attract funds and also agree how funds are best spent. We are delighted to announce that local executive members will include Montenegrin President Mr. Filip Vujanovic, representatives of Jugopetrol, Promonte and others to be announced. We will be approaching the international investment community in the next month to finalise the executive committee.
